One of my clients asked me a really great question the other day that I wanted to share with you.
She’s a very successful entrepreneur. She is growing her business and she has multiple projects on the go, as many entrepreneurs do.
And she said, ‘You know Eleanor, I’m struggling with feeling like I’m all over the place.’ And when we dug a little bit deeper it quickly became apparent that she’s not all over the place, she’s actually quite focused. She’s implementing her plans and she’s bringing her vision to life – she just needs to hire some help.
I’ve seen this again and again in my experience, especially coaching women entrepreneurs, that sometimes you get to a point where your business has outgrown your ability to do it all on your own. And at that point it’s really important that you begin building the team that you need to fulfill your mission.
One of the ways that this can show up, is when you feel like you’re all over the place or you’re unfocused. Sometimes the problem isn’t the focus. Sometimes the problem isn’t that you don’t have the right strategy, the problem is simply that it’s time to build your team.
So ask yourself the question: “What support, what skills, what resources could I put in place that would enable me to fulfill my business mission and to stay focused on growth without having to worry about taking care of all these other things?” Team Building 101.
