Stiletto sales are declining. Here’s what you need to know.

Did you know high heels sales dropped by 71% last year? I haven’t worn heels in over a YEAR and I haven’t bought a pair of heels in about 2 years.

(My sister and I were discussing this and predicted “hammertoe” rates will decline over the next 3 quarters which will have a knock-on effect of reduced podiatrist visits also. #1. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST. #2 If you are a podiatrist specializing in hammertoe and need to pivot, get in touch stat).

While I was busy NOT buying heels or treating hammertoe, do you know what I DID buy?

A pair of white Doc Martens.

(Side note: One day during my vacation I laced them up, sprawled on my couch, and watched Sliding Doors. I RULLLY miss the 90s).

Fact: Doc Martens are as ugly, heavy, and uncomfortable TODAY as they were when Gwen Stefani was with No Doubt.

But none of that really factored into my purchasing decision. What factored into my purchasing decision was an element of BUYER PSYCHOLOGY that subconsciously drives ALL high-end purchases.

When you know and utilize this element of BUYER PSYCHOLOGY to your advantage you make a lot more money, fill your business with clients you’d go to the wall for, and do work that is so original and powerful you become untouchable in your category.

(It’s a word that starts with the letter “A”). Bet you can’t guess what it is.
