“Oh, that ALWAYS happens.”

I had just confided in a colleague about some mindset challenges I was experiencing as my business crossed the 7-figure mark.

In a word: I was afraid.

I was concerned people would think I no longer had time for them.

I was worried people would think I was getting “too big.”

I was terrified of “losing control” of my business.

My colleague told me “it’s normal, don’t worry.”

But when did you ever have someone tell you to “not worry” and then you magically stopped worrying?

Years later, I can see the situation clearly.

The mindset challenges I experienced were shaped by — and shaping — the entire sales process inside my company.

How I was thinking about selling A LOT of things was:

  1. Not as constructive as I wanted it to be and
  2. Slowing my growth.
