For best results, embrace Baller Problems

Eleanor Beaton

I’m about to share a tip that will have a profound impact on your income, business operations, marketing, and overall happiness provided you have the guts to implement it.

Here’s the tip.

Stop tolerating problems that are “beneath” you.

There are dozens of applications for this tip but neither of us have all day so I’ll apply the tip as it relates to your niche.

Beginner-level niching happens when you know the demographics of your target client: age income, education level etc.

A lot of lily-livered entrepreneurs keep their niching at this level which is why your senses are continuously assaulted with the boring, samey-same messages that lay siege to newsfeeds everywhere.

Advanced niching happens when you get REALLY clear on the level of problem your target client needs to have in order to be “qualified” — or, to use a stronger word “worthy” of working with you.

Here’s an example. I have a client in the personal development space for women. She has been running into the problem of prospects who WANT to do business with her but are struggling to “justify” investing in themselves.

She was hoping we could come up with some form of magical message that would convince these women that THEY are worthy of the self-investment.

I ‘’held space” for that request for approximately 0.2 seconds and then said this:

Stop “tolerating” prospects who have a problem believing that investing in their personal development is a worthwhile expense.

If they are still struggling with this problem, they are NOT your client and they are NOT a fit for your program.

They need to be PAST this problem in order to work with you.

So really, two things needed to change.

One, she needed to STOP tolerating the problem of attempting to work with people who are afraid to invest in themselves. This was not a problem she wanted to solve (SO BORING!!!) and honestly, there are a ton of people in the personal development space who solve that problem. LET THEM “HAVE AT IT” AS WE SAY ON THE EAST COAST.

Two, she needed to “ovary up” and COMMIT to solving higher-level problems.

The women she EXCELS at serving already know they are their best investment. This is not a problem for them anymore. Therefore, the longer this client tries to talk to women who have NOT YET figured out they are worthy of investing in, the more she will repel and put off the straight up ballers* who are ready for the exact type of advanced personal development she delivers.

When you COMMIT to solving baller problems, you will attract baller clients. They complain less, ovary up more, take more inspired action, invest at a higher level, and are easier to serve. For these reasons, your business becomes easier to scale.

This rule of working with ballers is so important I will say it again for the folks in the back. Baller clients complain less, ovary up more, take more inspired action, invest at a higher level, and are easier to serve. For these reasons, your business becomes easier to scale.

Committing to solving ONLY baller problems so you attract ONLY baller clients is easy in theory but in practice, it takes guts because you need to maintain standards, curb your conditioning to be all things to all people, and say no. Most people can’t do this but you and I both know you are not most people.

When you get really clear on the level of problem you are willing to tolerate in your business, and when you cultivate the guts, messaging and marketing approach required to see it through, you will become the ONLY choice for your most baller of baller clients.

This is the work we do in The Power + Presence + Position Business Accelerator. If you’re ready to niche down and “baller up” so you can make great money, attract other ballers, and run a focused, scalable company, submit your application. The longer you put off refining your niche, the more time you will waste marketing to the wrong people and amplifying the wrong message.

*Baller, noun, A woman who started from the bottom, overcame challenges and has accomplished a degree of outer success and inner confidence.
