The psychology of freakishly high sales conversions

Eleanor Beaton

One of the most profound personal choices I made last year was to adopt the concept of SUFFICIENCY as an organizing principle in my life, and by extension, company.

Inspired by Lynne Twist’s excellent book The Soul of Money, I started to see how the giant gaping maw of MORE, MORE, MORE was making me and other people I knew stressed out and miserable.

For example, I laugh REAL HURRD when I read stories about how the executives at Netfleex, with strong support from Wall Street pundits, sweat through their wool blazers because the company’s subscriber base is still growing, but at a slower rate.

Keep in mind they are whining even though they made roughly $1.5 beelions in profits in Q3, AND launched the blockbuster that is Squid Games.

When you commit to never having or being enough, MORE is like heroin. No hit can quite compare. Or so I hear.

This is not to say I don’t love growth and value the lessons it brings. I just understand how to grow from a place of SUFFICIENCY now.

When the state of sufficiency is your starting point, I have personally found that you naturally become more focused, deliberate and EFFICIENT. And if there is ONE place where I see tremendous waste of resources, it’s in sales and marketing.

One way to tell if your marketing is working is whether you can maintain freakishly high sales conversion rates at scale. When you have freakishly high conversion rates at scale, you KNOW your sales and marketing systems are efficient and your message and understanding of clients is CLEAR. When THIS happens, you don’t have to continually whine and fret about a “lack of leads.” You can trust the marketing ecosystem you have built to provide beautifully and then provide some more. THIS is the true beauty of the Jewel Business…it delivers Cash, Influence and Autonomy consistently and reliably.

On this week’s podcast, I break down the psychology of freakishly high sales conversions. Warning — it’s a focused, intensive episode so brace yourself for some high-octane teaching. I re-listened to the episode this morning and was highly impressed with it. #humblenotmodest
